Twelve games without a win

After twelve matches without a victory in the 3rd league, SpVgg Unterhaching parted ways with coach Marc Unterberger. This is the result of an in-depth analysis of the current sporting situation. After returning to the third division in the summer of 2023, Unterberger was promoted to professional coach, replacing Sandro Wagner. The 35-year-old has kept Haching confidently in the league; the SpVgg currently occupies the penultimate place.
“Unfortunately, we decided that we needed a new boost in our current sporting situation. This decision was not easy for us, because Marc has been part of the Haching family for 15 years and has coached at the club from U10 to professionals. I would like to thank him very much for the time we spent together and for the overall very successful collaboration,” said club president Manfred Schwabl.
Unterberger added: “I am grateful to the club and those responsible for 15 good years at Unterhaching. I hope the team can quickly earn the points needed to stay in the league. » His successor for the moment will be the former national player Sven Bender. The 35-year-old will lead the existing coaching staff until the winter break. Bender has been Unterberger’s assistant since the start of the season; he previously held the same position under Edin Terzic at Borussia Dortmund.
