ᑕ❶ᑐ Flamengo will vote to choose the dream team; for 50 licensed names

In the home stretch to inaugurate its new museum, at the headquarters of Gávea, in the southern zone of Rio de Janeiro, at the end of July, the flamenco called on his supporters to form the « dream team » with the main players in the history of the club. The choice will be made by a vote, which will begin on Tuesday (27) and continue until July 16.

There are a total of 50 names available for voters. The selection criteria were: talent and recognition; historical and sporting relevance; achievements; idols of a decade; Research and analysis of the historical heritage of the CRF. The more than 11 votes were wrong for the shirts displayed in the « Hall do Manto », one of the sections of the new museum.

Among the names are recent club idols, such as forwards Gabigol e Bruno Henriquewho continues to this day in the team, in addition to legends such as zico, adilio, Junior e Evaristo of Macedon.

Starting in 2025, when Flamengo turns 130, the museum will highlight a big star each year to join the gallery of red-black idols.

“I’m sure we’ll provide a world-class attraction for Red-Blacks from all over the world, as well as tourists visiting Rio de Janeiro. The Flamengo Museum not only honors the past, but also serves as an inspiration for the future. We want the Nação Rubro-Negra, our greatest asset, to also be part of this story,” said the president. Initially, the new Flamengo Museum occupies a space of 1,200 m² on the Gávea side and another 2,000 m². The place will be interactive and will have Artificial Intelligence solutions to make the visitor’s experience even more impactful.

Placed under the responsibility of the vice-presidency of the historical heritage of Flamengo, the project of the new museum crowns the work of research, organization and preservation of the memory of the club carried out in recent years.
