O Vasco said goodbye this Tuesday to the idol Roberto Dinamite. After the vigil, in São Januário, the former player will be buried this afternoon, in Duque de Caxias.
Despite everything, the tributes to the greatest player in the history of the club continue at the Rio de Janeiro club. Thus, the cruzmaltino published a letter to the idol.
In the text, Vasco describes Roberto Dinamite as « the greatest idol of an association more than a century old » and promises that he will never let « the Vascainos forget their achievements ». For the team jersey, there have been 1016 official matches and 617 goals scored. Additionally, he won one Brazilian championship (1974) and five Carioca championships (1977, 1982, 1987, 1988 and 1992).
Roberto Dinamite died last Sunday, at the age of 68, from bowel cancer.
