The draw for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers for the African zone was made this Thursday in Abidjan.
Exit the distribution of nations into 10 groups of four teams, nine pools from six countries have been formed today, with Egypt, Senegal, Nigeria, Cameroon, Morocco, Côte d’Ivoire as seeded. Ivoire, Algeria, Tunisia and Mali.
Each of the nine leaders at the end of the qualification campaign will win their ticket for the 2026 World Cup. The four second best will compete in the play-offs to designate a winner who will face a selection from Latin America or Oceania for their turn. Valid on the poster of the highest competition co-organized by Canada, the United States and Mexico.

This 2026 World Cup, let’s remember, will be the first to have 48 teams (against 32 until then). 48 soon-to-return nations left in 12 groups of four.
