Football: three new referees at the Pontivyen Stadium

the Pontivyen Stadium (Morbihan) honored Baptiste Le Bigot, Howel Le Gal and Andy Bissoumounou, his three new arbitraryon the occasion of the remission of the crest as well as a charter by the Morbihan arbitration commission represented by Francis Lopez.

This brings to 9 the number of referees at the club, very well provided in this area. « Our refereeing cell works very well thanks to the supervision of our young referees », explains Florent Guéguen, the referent.

“It was a bit weird at first, without having to touch the ball…”

At 14, Baptiste Le Bigot is the youngest of the 3 new referees at Stade Pontivyen. He explains his motivations: « I wanted to discover something else, to have another vision of the game. Sometimes, when the referees are criticized, I wanted to put myself in their shoes. « 

Like him, Howel Le Gal (16), who is arbitrary in U15 D1, he is equal to playing in parallel.

I was already a volunteer before on matches before becoming a referee. I want to referee more skin. As a player, I was upgraded, I play in senior D.

At 18, Andy Bissoumounou is only a referee. « I wanted to discover something else, another vision of the (Site notre bureau spécialisé) and to better understand the rules of the game. »

Sources were their feelings during their first game? They agree that “it was a bit weird at the start, not having to touch the ball. A bit of responsibility on the shoulders as to the outcome of the game.”

Better start early…

Becoming a referee is sometimes a vocation. And, as Florent Guéguen points out, “the earlier they start, the more they have the opportunity to go higher. »

This is good for them, Baptiste Le Bigot, Howel Le Gal and Andy Bissoumounou at the start of the youngsters. And are also lovers of the game because, as the slogan for referees says, « we don’t have the same shirt but we have the same passion. » Their role is thus to enforce the rules of the game for the smooth running of it.
